Elodie received her Ph.D in Molecular Electrochemistry from the University Paris 7 Diderot in 1991.
She was appointed CNRS researcher at UMR 8182-ICMMO University Paris-Sud-P11 (1992-2008) where she first got interested in artificial photosynthesis and started to work on OEC structural and functional models complexes focusing on electrochemical and spectroscopic investigations of reactive species such as M-oxo and M-peroxo intermediates (M = Mn, Fe).
She was visiting researcher at Stanford University (1997-1999) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, (1998-1999) where she had the opportunity to study both natural and model systems using X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy.
In 2008 she joined the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire UMR 7591. Her research focus on electrochemical and spectroscopic studies of reactive species involved in O2 or CO2 activation using transition metal complexes (Mn, Fe, Co). Particular attention is given to electrochemical activation of O2 using biomimetic Fe catalysts for selective and efficient organic substrate oxidation.
She is currently Research Director at CNRS and head of the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire UMR7591.

Duobin got a B.S. degree in chemistry from Nankai University in June 2009. He then joined the group of Prof. Fu and completed his Ph.D. work in chemistry from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in July 2014. He worked as an assitant professor in Dalian University of Technology from 2014 to 2018. He moved to Ningbo University as an associate professor in December 2018. His research mainly focuses on the artificial photosynthesis such as CO2 photoreduciton.
In December 2021, he joined the REACTE group to investigate CO2 reduction, as a visiting scholar supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

Francesco is from Taranto, Italy. He graduated cum laude in Chemistry in 2020 at the University of Padua (UNIPD). During his master thesis he worked under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Sartorel on CO2 reduction mediated by Fe complexes bearing Schiff bases as ligand. In 2021 he took part on the PHOTOSIL project, where he focused on the synthesis and characterization of Pt based organometallic complexes for silicones photoreticulation; this work was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Biffis and in collaboration with Zhermack, S.p.A., a world leading industry for silicones production.
After been selected by Université de Paris to get an international student grant, Francesco has joined the group in October 2021 to conduct a PhD thesis on the catalytic photo- and electrochemical benzene carbonylation with group IX metals, under the supervision of Niklas von Wolff and Julien Bonin, with a secondment period at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, under the supervision of Prof. David Milstein.
